Our #ENDviolence booth was set up at BTS fan meeting ‘MUSTER-MAGIC SHOP’ at Busan and Seoul, June 15th-16th, 22nd-23rd respectively. We welcomed many of fans as one of the must drop-by booth and we were happy to meet you all. See you at next MUSTER!
In November 2017, UNICEF Korea, South Korean boy band BTS and South Korean entertainment company Big Hit Entertainment (BHE) joined forces in the #LoveMyself campaign, an effort to raise awareness about violence towards children and young people around the world. The #LoveMyself campaign supports the pre-existing UNICEF’s #ENDviolence campaign launched in 2013 to make the world a safer place for the young generation. Funds raised through #LoveMyself are being used to protect and support children and teens affected by domestic, school and sexual violence, as well as to empower local communities to help prevent violence. In April 2018, BTS embarked on a world tour that will take them to US, Canada, the UK, France, the Netherlands, Germany and Japan. This tour represents a great opportunity for National Committees to promote the #ENDviolence campaign in support of their advocacy, fundraising and brand building efforts.
July 30th is the International Friendship Day designated by the United Nations.
At #ENDviolence Youth Talks Survey (2018), UNICEF asked the youth in 160 countries what is needed to protect youth from online violence and they said ‘kindness’ is the most important. Kindness is powerful tool for protecting young generation, not just for friends, parents, teachers, but for all of us. UNICEF launches the Global Campaign #BeKind, the easiest way to #ENDviolence, to encourage sharing kindness. Join the #BeKind campaign to celebrate International Friendship Day and get a step closer to kindness. Leave 'Kind Note' on SNS (Hashtag #BeKind #ENDviolence #UNICEF) to show your kindness! Choose respect, support and kindness to #ENDviolence.
